Bobby for Entrepreneur of The Year Award 2007…
I received one of the most honorable letter in my life and it was from Ernst and Young!
To my pleasant surprise, the letter was to inform me that I have been nominated for The Entrepreneur of The Year Award 2007.
I have heard about this prestigious award, presented to many famous and successful entrepreneurs. However, never have I thought that I would be nominated for such a highly regarded award especially when the nomination comes from a famous and successful entrepreneur Mr. Sudhamek AWS - CEO of Garuda Food Group also winner of The Entrepreneur of The Year Award 2004.
Each year Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur Of The Year program celebrates the successes of entrepreneurs – innovative men and women who are achieving great feats through their energy, passion and commitment. The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards represent our way of bringing the word entrepreneur to life and showcasing the people in our society who are making a significant contribution to our overall economic well being.
Launched in the United States in 1986 and introduced in Indonesia in 2001, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards program have become a global program, held in more than 30 countries across five continents. Honestly and truthfully, I do not expect to win this award as there are many greater and successful entrepreneurs out there that have achieved great things in their lives. I am truly honored just by being nominated as this has shown that my actions and contributions to the business world has been appreciated and acknowledged. Of course winning it will be a HUGE bonus to mark my success as Ernst & Young put it.
But in this blog entry I sincerely wish to express my gratitude to Mr. Sudhamek and all my friends and family that have nominated me and supported me throughout my professional career. The selection process has just begun and the results will be published at the end of the year. Wish me luck!
